The image on the flyer above, ‘Dress up’, is a 30 colour screen print and will be one of two prints available on the opening night and online at eelus.com the following morning. There will be around 20 or so brand new paintings on canvas, wood and metal.

The Other Side - Mile End
Our friend Stick has put together a great show with live painting in Mile End's brand spanking new 'Arts Pavilion'.
Show is open each Wednesday to Sunday from 12-6 pm, Wednesday 4th November – Sunday 29th November. Mile End closest Tube.

Silhouettes with spray-cans glinting in the darkness have long journeyed through the East End to the austere walls of the rail arches in Mile End, an underground showcase of underground art.
Now, in broad daylight, the elegant new Mile End Arts Pavilion opens its doors to some of the most notorious graffiti artists in East London.
This unique venue offers the opportunity for you, the viewer to observe from behind glass or get down and dirty with the artists painting LIVE! (Protective masks are available on the door)
Each week will feature a new wave of artists, sourced locally with a smattering of special guest painters.

StreetFest, is the first live art street festival in UK. LAB @ SZIGET festival Budapest
This Summer LAB went over to Sziget festival to join in with the Arcadom Wall installation. The wall is 50x2 meters, one side decorated by European Street artists the other for the Festival crazies to have a go. The Wall commemorates the 20th Anniversary of the demolition of the Iron curtain along Hungary's western border and later the Berlin wall itself.
ARCADOM-WALL: "Everything is allowed as long as you are FREE"
The Arcadom-Wall was built to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the change of political system in Eastern Europe.
With the party state and it's ideology gone, the notion of Freedom gained new meaning in 1989.
The demolition of the Iron curtain along Hungary's western border and later the Berlin wall itself, triggered the transition to democracy across Eastern Europe. These two emblematic events have inspired the creation of the Arcadom-Wall.

EINE'S COLOURFUL SHOW
Ben Eine gets mathematical for the Guinness book of records most colours in a print.
Down in a garage on Shacklewell St to a soundtrack of old skool beats history was being made, or more correctly displayed. A new screenprint world record - made up of a massive 12,000 screen 'pulls'. Impressive stuff.
The maths isn't easy. Each print, designed by artist Ben EINE, is made up of his signature ABC. In this case all 25 letters of the alphabet (wait isn't there one missing?) are laid out, then each print set has an ink layer added to it. There are 77 colours in total (plus a 78th a final gloss layer). With each layer taking up to 4 hours to dry the new world record took over 2 months from first layer to completion. It was obviously worth the wait.
Thursdays exhibition was bussssy. People queued to secure a print from a flame-painted people carrier a la grease lightning. Traditional artisan screenprinting continues to wow...

Dan Kitchener has been out and about in Southampton.
Dan's been at it again this time he's done a couple of pieces at the Southampton Supercans. With a new landscape piece and a variation of the now infamous Formation B, this time with bones. It's well worth a peek. There are some great local artists involved, check the flicker site for photos.
