Mutate Britain Christmas opening under the Westway
MUTATE BRITAIN - RE-LAUNCH & EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE VIEW - WEDNESDAY 2ND DECEMBER - 7:30PM-10PM UNDER THE WESTWAY, 3-6 ACKLAM RD, LONDON W10 5YU Open to public from Thursday 4th.
After a magnificently mutoid October saw nearly 20,000 people come and indulge in the MuTate experience, One Foot in the Grove is back with a Christmas special and you're invited to an exclusive private viewing to kick off the festivities.
Open for three weeks throughout December, the Westway will once again play home to countless new works of art, graffiti, paintings, stencils, installations, sculptures, object d'art, bric-a-brac, ceramics, clothing and much more. As well as new contributions from the likes of Joe Rush, Wreckage and Dotmasters, there will also be pieces from new contributors such as Shepard Fairey, D Face, Dan Hillier and Word to Mother.
One Foot in the Grove is open from 2-10pm Friday, 1-10pm Saturday, 12-9pm Sunday and can be found under the Westway, just off Portobello Road.

Michael “RJ” Rushmore is the founder of Vandalog, a blog highly respected and widely known throughout the contemporary art world. Curating his first exhibition called “The Thousands.” To accompany the show RJ has written “The Thousands: Painting Outside, Breaking In.” The exhibition will feature original work by some of the top names in street art. Many of the works have come from private collections, but several pieces have been provided directly by the artists participating in the show.
RJ’s endevour. “The Thousands” is an attempt to show the art world and the public that there are great works of art within the sphere of “street” and that these artists deserve a place in art history.

Shepard Fairey: Supply and Demand is organized by The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston and features over 20 years of the artist’s work, including illustrations, screen prints, collages, works of wood, metal, and canvas. SuperTrash features 150 film posters, ranging from ephemera to giant 3-sheets, representing the 1940’s – ‘80’s. Unnatural Rubber, sponsored by the LANXESS Corporation, showcases the work of 15 contemporary international artists to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the invention of synthetic rubber.

Dave and Holly Combs are wonderful people as well as the founders of PEEL Zine. They took the risk of following their artistic passion and have paid the price of losing their home. I created this print with and for them to raise money to help with their huge debt. PEEL has helped to support and grow the street art community and I believe they deserve to have the favor returned. Profits from this print go to help the Combs family. Please help out.

Mr Slam Dunk Sir 'Air' Michael Jordan & Shepard Obama Fairey obviously aint got enough cash these days. They've teamed up with Upper Deck to release a set of three prints in two editions. The first edition is of 50 with both players signatures on the deal and going out at $1499.99 a pop.
