The installation was made in conjunction with the Portugal Arte 10 Festival and will tour abroad. Vilchez - Solo Exhibition, Pure Evil Gallery

On 27th of May, Vilchez will bring his unique brand of colorful, eye catching wood and lino relief prints to the Pure Evil Gallery in Hoxton.

Preferring the detailing of dry crystal etching and a mix of woodcut and lino cut relief, Vilchez extracts vibrancy, intricacy and the cult of cool from his medium, creating complex, vastly impressive works that twist conventional iconography with influences from urban art.

Coupled with music from the uber talented flamenco duo Fran & Josh (http://www.myspace.com/franandjosh) this one should be a goodun!

From: 27th May – 31st May 2010
At: Pure Evil Gallery
108 Leonard Street
Hoxton
