Evil Xmas 5th & 6th Dec 12-5pm The East Room & Sosho London

Our good mate Mr Evil brings you the Evil Xmas at The East Room and Sosho
Arts Co and Pure Evil have joined forces once again to invite street and contemporary artists to take over The East Room members' club and dining room and neighbouring Shoreditch club Sosho for the second annual EVIL XMAS FAYRE. This twisted take on a traditional European Christmas fair takes place on the 5th and 6th December from 12- 5pm. Indulge in some festive tastes and pick up some real art bargains from street art luminaries and emerging talent including Bortusk Leer, Cyclops, Dscreet, Joel and Sam Levack, Shuby, Hero, K Guy, Lilly Ladjevardi, Remi Rough, and Sweetoof.Opening Hours – 12.00 to 17.00pm.
Entrance £1 donation in support of StreetSmart Get on down this weekend.
The East Room & Sosho, 2 Tabernacle Street, EC2A 4LU
As well as a selling exhibition of original art and prints the artists will let the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future loose across both buildings. Experience Xmas hell at Sosho - the walls will be wheat-pasted by an army of Santa’s dark helpers (a mystery line up of London's best street artists) or visit the Xmas Squat, a credit crunch vision of seasonal cheer in fictional Grimesby. The squat is an art installation by Luc Price aka Cyclops fresh from his recent show 'Jesus Help Me Find My Proper Place’ at Black Rat Press.

KGuy at Mutate

No sooner as we are getting in to the spirit and preparing to head down to the opening, than one of LAB's favorite K-Guy. Gives us a sneak preview of his latest piece at Mutate titled 'Coke Moss. Stay tuned to LAB for some interesting K-Guy Co-Lab's.
COKE MOSS - Inspired by his love of picking up discarded trash from
the streets, well, some people collect stamps, I like crushed Coke
cans, Okay. He's again linked two disparate images and I guess He's
cocking a snook at the Americanisation and cultural bombardment in
British society, He's been kind of thinking recently about the fact
that we don't actually make anything in this country anymore and the
only thing we do export is people, celebrity, whatever.
He's also hand screened a small edition of only 35 screen prints,
size 750 x 750mm that will be on sale at the show.
Mutate LAdbroke Grove
Don't forget the amazing Mutate opens it's doors once again from tomorrow. One foot in the Grove this time housed under the Westway in Ladbroke Grove. This is the all talking, machine walking, spray paint all over the mofo, biggest in town show. This has to be the highlight in the Urban/Street art calendar of 2009.
3-6 Acklam Road, London W10 5YU nearest tube Ladbroke Grove.
Daily from 2pm-late

Nightmare Before Christmas Pictures
Better Late than never, we finally got it together to get the photo's up from our regular superstar photographer Jo Wilson.
The Nightmare Before Christmas show was put together in three days with the amazing effort of the artists, LAB & Day Dream Network. When we first walked into the space 9am on a freezing cold Sunday morning the revelers were still enjoying the refreshments. Everyone pitched in teamed together to create what was the Nightmare Before Christmas. The photo diary follow's the days up to the party. Hope you enjoy them as much as we did putting the show together.
Special Thanks to Focus for bringing our attention to the location. Look out for his latest print exclusivly through LAB in the next few weeks.
