Random Cuts's Mr Yacob is borne again -
Thanks to Mr. Yacob, the one time silent member of the Cuts family, the show at the star is being touted as 'the last great amateur effort from the over sized brain of Randomcuts'.
Having fallen out with most of his peers, Mr. Yacob has decided to go against his natural formula and try something, in his words 'dark and diggy', creating an atmosphere that would cause dizziness to a normal sized cat, while Randomcuts concentrates on provoking your thoughts through your eyeballs by filling 'The Star' with their truly eclectic collection of soon to be 'professional' artworks and visuals.
Quote from Mr.Yacob,'this ain't Tate Modern babe, this is proper east!'
Star of Bethnal Green, tomorrow night the 15th April.
Music, booze and CMYK hue's this is the art show for you!!!

ROA at Pure Evil Gallery until May 2nd

ROA’s eagerly anticipated UK solo debut opened earlier this month down at the Pure Evil Gallery exhibiting his unique portrayal of large scale urban wildlife, disquietly cohabiting city streets, hand painted in his distinctive black and white style.
Pure Evil Gallery, Leonard Street, London
ROA started painting abandoned buildings and warehouses in the isolated industrial outskirts of his hometown - Ghent, Belgium. Fixating on the animals he found there; the wildlife became the central subject matter of his work, inspired by their clever ability to adapt into scavengers in order to survive. He used the dilapidated, coarse interiors and exteriors of the unyielding landscape as a canvas to portray his large-scale creatures.
Roa filled a vast abandoned warehouse complex of different chambers and exteriors with a menagerie of large-scale animals, creating an impressive spray painted zoo of city scavengers.
His obsession went global when he took to the streets of New York, London, Berlin, Warsaw and Paris, prolifically painting his trademark cross sectioned animals wherever he went, locating them where they naturally invade the main city streets with their quiet yet powerful presence.

Chish & Fips and the neon birds

Keep an eye out for anything to with East London's hottest illuminated art collective Chish & Fips. These are their amazing neon birds, exclusively available from Fandango, Essex Rd, Islington.
East London Art Collective Chish & Fips have been working together since 2004 producing works in collaboration with local commercial enterprises and businesses, where they prefer to show, shunning the more traditional systems of art exhibition.
Their artistic practice blurs the lines between fine art, decorative objects and functional items
